HERE ARE THE 10 THINGS EVERY BLOGGER MUST DO IN 2017.
1. Guest Posting
We all should have heard about Guest Posting before and if not, it means writing and publishing an article on someone else’s website or blog. This is one the major things you mustn’t ignore.
2. Use Google Disavow Tool
Last year, the tech giant company Gooogle made an update to its Search Algorithm. This will affect sites / blogs with improper / spam back links in such a way that the blog pages are not included in the SERP. Read the full documentation here.
Also, if you’ve your sites submitted to other search engines, you should use their disavow tool so that spam links won’t take control of your blog on search engines.
3. Avoid Serving Too Many Ads
It sounds weird, right? Yes but you have to take note of this very well even a lot of ad networks do not support placements of more than 3 ads on a single page. The effect of this may include: increase in bounce rate, SPAM report, invalid activities, inaccurate analytics, poor user experience, bounce rate etc. You’ve to look professional by serving little or no ads.
4. Spend More Time Promoting Than You Actually Write
When you write an article, even before publishing ask your friends and mentors how the article is and what you need to add but you can skip this step and publish your article but remember you must be able to answer any queries regarding what you posted. Take time to share your articles to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.
5. Avoid Interstitial / Pop Ads For Mobile
Serving interstitial or pop ads for mobile users can affect your site in search Engines. The new Google search algorithm update will blacklist your blog if any is found. Pop ads is really annoying and I’m sure your user won’t like it and also sites with pop ads are easily blacklisted by social networks.
6. Relate with Bloggers and Ask Questions
You’re blind to what you can’t see. Don’t feel too big to ask bloggers question even if they’re not as successful as you’re. No knowledge is a waste.
7. Partner with Bloggers
If you find any blogger (in your niche or more experienced than you), feel free to message them for Partnership. Partnership may include: sponsored posts, writing for each other, revenue share, giving each other a dofollow back-link, etc
8. Don’t SPAM
Believe me, most bloggers just litters everywhere with their links, not that you shouldn’t share the link but make it once in a blue moon (once every three days is okay) and make sure you’re not dumping there on every website, remember point 2, Spamming around means you’re not capable, instead take note of point 10.
9. Be Prepared to Spend
If you have money, spend it on your blog wisely. Ways you can spend: hire developers, buy ads space, hire social media manager, do giveaways, sponsor your blog on social networks, etc
“Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he doesn’t have a mind to grasp anything?” (Holy Bible Proverbs 17:16). Please note this is not a religion blog, I just feel like referencing it.
This is the major thing every blogger ignore because they take it less slightly. Even I didn’t take it serious before not until I realized it’s what I should have done long ago.
Branding is wide and easier than you thought just that you have to keep yourself updated each day. Try to create a:
- Facebook Fan Page
- Twitter Account
- YouTube Channel (optional)
- Google+ Profile.
Internet branding (also referred to as Online branding) is a brand management technique that uses the World Wide Web as a medium for positioning a brand in the marketplace. Website creation and optimization, web search social media, blogs, online press releases, and video marketing are all methods used for online branding purposes.
